Having used the new tractor now since October 2023, and clocking 150 hours, I feel obliged to share my experience with others who may be interested.

We live on a small acreage and have a wood boiler to heat our home, and lots of driveway to maintain free of snow in the winter. To aid in that we have had an old farm tractor with a loader for the last 15 years to assist in those activities. You will understand that old (1958) equipment requires repair from time to time to time, and on and on.

We drove past Range Land one day and seeing their array of small tractors we wondered if we could find one that was both affordable and may suit our needs.

Speaking to Owner Doug Boyd, he was most helpful in identifying a compact tractor that also thought would do the job for us. The 6 year power train warranty really made me less nervous about this investment. Doug tells it like it is, and is not pushy. He does more listening and less talking. We made the deal and it was delivered next day. Then I had to learn how to operate the new Joy stick for the loader and get used to the HST. It is so responsive and simple. The difficulty had was divesting old habits that were necessary on the old tractor. I used to say you don’t really drive the old one, you more or less herd it.

The little 3 cylinder diesel has ample power as there is Low, Medium and High range, while Fuel consumption is surprisingly miserly, Lifting and sorting logs is better, smoother and more controlled. Plowing snow in High range saves time on the long runs, as the KIOTI scoots right along. The power steering is remarkable and the tractor has the shortest turning radius of anything on the property except the lawn tractor. The 4 wheel drive does not affect the smoothness of that operation. Tight turns with a 4x4 pickup often create a U-joint lump in the front end, that I can feel in the steering wheel and always have to concede to. Not so in the KIOTI, all turns are smooth and uneventful. Traction is remarkable, even without tire studs.

I have moved a good deal of snow, gravel and soil with KIOTI and am very satisfied with the performance. Maintenance is simple as orange caps identify all the frequently used inspection points which are readily available. The Air filter is up front for easy extraction and clean. You simply pop the hood and it stands out of your way until you push it down. Daily Oil check is accessible without moving anything just reach for the orange dip stick. In -25c weather | searched for a place to attach an oil pan heater only to find its power cord conveniently awaiting deployment.

I was going to install a battery kill switch, as I have them on everything that sits idle for long periods, but found KIOTI came with it installed. I am very happy with KIOTI. I feel it is as solid as it appears and feels. The air seat is much appreciated. It is getting more use because it is much more capable and comfortable and of course reliable than the old one. I would recommend KIOTI tractors and Rangeland Equipment, and all of their friendly helpful staff, to anyone.

Having previously owned an older 32 hp Mahindra Tractor, we found that it was not quite powerful enough for our needs. We embarked on a search for a new tractor with more horsepower and size. After exploring options like Kubota and John Deere, we decided to visit Rangeland Equipment and had the pleasure of meeting Jeff. Jeff took the time to introduce us to the Kioti tractor lineup, explaining all the possible options and sizes available.

After considering our requirements, we revisited Rangeland Equipment and sat down with Doug Boyd to review pricing and options. Doug was incredibly patient, working with us to price out several different configurations. Ultimately, we chose the tractor that best suited our needs, with Doug and Jeff offering the most competitive price we encountered. Their assistance was outstanding, with no pressure to make a sale, ensuring we found the best deal possible. Once we signed the sale contract, the support we received in preparing and delivering the tractor was nothing short of first-class. The team at Rangeland Equipment, from sales to technicians, were friendly and helpful, making us feel like we were dealing with friends who genuinely cared about our needs.

After using our new tractor for a period, we realized that this tractor was not suited to some of the smaller work and areas of access. Christa was not comfortable with the size of our new Kioti. We mentioned that to Doug, and he found a used tractor for us in just great shape, and we negotiated a deal that was again a fair price so we purchased that tractor as well. Christa just loves her tractor and uses it with ease. We are very happy with both of our tractors.

The level of after-sale service is unparalleled, and we are delighted to continue our relationship with Rangeland Equipment. We firmly believe this is an excellent organization that we would highly recommend to anyone in need of the equipment and services they provide.

Yours Truly,
